Well another year has come to an end. The last year was a bit rough on us. My family both immediate and extended went through some intense moments. Jamshed’s fracture, Nanu’s stroke, and her death being notable highlights. On the personal front the shift to Gorakhpur was unexpected and sudden. Rehaan also grew up into a little boy from a baby. It was the time for change all around.
Now we are facing one of the coldest winters we have seen in the last five years. I miss the sun very much. I also wish that the schools would open and give me my much needed three hour break from Rehaan. The ten day winter break has already extended into three weeks and counting. As of this morning the DM has announced that schools will stay shut till the 13th of Jan. So that adds up to an additional week as then 14th will be a holiday for makar sankranti.
Lohi and the weekend will ensure that the schools only reopen on next Monday. Its been a really long break for Rehaan and he is not looking forward to starting school again. He’s having a blast and his envious father is watching him frolic as he heads back to office after lunch. Life really is best when you are at this age, isn’t it? But try telling that to Rehaan. he wants to grow “big as Daddy” as of now.
For some time I’ve been thinking about starting a blog that I could monetize. This one is too personal and I don’t want to mix business with pleasure, so its going to stay the way it is. However I am seriously thinking about starting a community blog which would deal with party themes, games, food and a whole lot of tips and tricks. I am looking for ideas so feel free to mail me with what you think.
I have also started writing on a couple of other sites, so you can check it out here.
Do leave comments on anything that appeals to you. And now I’m off to get the vegetables before the temperature dips and I freeze on the scooter. Take care all of you and keep well. May the new year bring great joy to your lives.
